Check-in (green)

This enables the kid to check-in every now and then and let the parent know that everything’s ok. For example, children may be out with their friends, and with Nearparent they can easily show where they are and that everything is ok.

Small alert (yellow)

When help is needed, but the kid can wait a while for the help to arrive. Used in instances such as loss of bus ticket or home keys.

More urgent alert (red)

Your kid needs help quickly and wishes that the helpers would hurry. Used, for example, when the kid has fallen off a bike and needs quick assistance.

Locate the kid or the helper

You can click on the image to show the current location of the either the kid or the helper on the map

Call

Call button provides an easy way for the kid and the helper to contact each other. Note that it's not visible if the other person has not provided a phone number.

I will take care of this

Helpers respond to kids request for help by clicking the "I will take care of this" button. The kid will get a notification and see where the helper is coming from.

I am ok now

By clicking the "I am ok now" button the kid notifys the helper network that he or she has received help and no further assistance is needed.

Update

Update own location, alerts and other info in the app.

Kids' list

Parent can see the most recent location and time when the kids in the family have checked-in their whereabouts. When the parent clicks a name on the list of network members, the map will center and zoom to the location of that person.

What is MyZones?

Nearparent's MyZones feature lets you define the areas you children are most likely to be situated in, every day of the week, at any hour. MyZones allows your kids to move and play freely in safe areas that you and your child choose together. Your child can therefore feel and be more independent.

How does MyZones work?

MyZones creates virtual boundaries for your children. When they cross the boundary, the Nearparent app will instruct them to go back to the area defined by the parent. MyZones also enables you to define certain places as Important Places, such as "home", "school", "grandma's" etc.
